America continues to have problems with products bearing the name of American manufacturers which are actually manufactured in China.
One recent example is dangerous trimmers, manufactured in China. These trimmers were recalled after pieces of the product came loose during use.
These recalls included models GH1000 and GH1000-CA Grasshog XP String Trimmers\\Edgers.
This dangerous defect can subject users and bystanders to lacerations.
The products also have a problem with overheating which could burn users.
Black & Decker has received reports of at least fifty-eight injuries from the use of these defective trimmers\\edgers. Reports of the defect tally in at over seven hundred.
The defective trimmers have black spools and are under recall. Those trimmers with orange spools are not under recall because they have allegedly been repaired.
If you have purchased one of these trimmers, you should stop using it immediately.
Black & Decker has established a toll-free number that you can use to call for a free repair kit. The number is 1-888-742-9158.
